As what is becoming the norm recently a lot of books are becoming too similar in this genre so I admit I was cautious before reading Sorensen’s book. The story revolves around the main character Gemma, an 18 year old girl who feels invisible and un-noticed. But Gemma has this to an extreme as she really has no feel on life until she really feels it going through her body with emotion. Then she begins to have nightmares of cloaked figures with yellow eyes killing her in the forest. What is going on?
I really enjoyed this book even if it took a while to get going, so remember to persevere with it. Only about half way through does it pick up, I’d have liked the first half to be a lot quicker and shorter. I know that Sorensen was showing us Gemma’s character and introducing the other characters but it dragged a bit. Was it worth it? Yes it was.
The ending had me screaming for the next book! Cannot wait to read the next one now. Definitely recommend this book but as I said just stay with it as it is worth it.
Captivating, has you spellbound. Can't put the book down, can't wait for part two. Excellent characters, evil found in a parent can truly change perspective.
