Another awesome addition to a series that has quickly become a stop-everything-I'm-doing-to-read-it series. I absolutely adore the characters and the plot is always so well crafted that I can't help but be sucked right in, until the very last page.

Deadly Obsession is another lovely example of how suspenseful thrillers work so much better when you care for the characters and I care so much about all these characters!

I really don't wanna ruin a single second of your reading experience, but let me just say, if you love thrillers, suspense and that special touch of romance, this is definitely the series for you!

A Thriller series with Romance? I am SO in!!! I just love Maggie Shayne's Brown and De Luca series. I really enjoy seeing both title characters grow so much and learn so much from each other and each other's families.

Innocent Prey is another thrill ride that I refuse to spoil to any mystery/thriller lover like. Suffice to say that it is awesome and makes you wanna have the next one in your hands as soon as possible.

Not only does Shayne write such compelling protagonists, but the secondary characters are just as exciting to get to know and the mystery is edge of the seat stuff.

Innocent Prey is another home run for Maggie Shayne is my book!

I just love finding a new Mystery/Thriller series to get hooked on! Sleep With the Lights On is just the begining (I hope) of a new series by Maggie Shayne. You can check out my review of book #2, Wake to Darkness.

I really enjoyed Sleep With the Lights On and I think it's a great start to a new series. I loved the main characters, Rachel and Mason. I think there is a so much potential in these two as protagonists and as a couple, I look forward to reading more about them.

Rachel is a fascinating heroine. She has been blind since she was 12 and after 20 years, she can finally see after a life changing surgery. Seeing the world from her perspective is great, but the consequences of Mason's choices is what make Sleep With the Lights On a thrill ride of a read.

If you enjoy Thrillers with a great dose of Mystery and a touvh of romance, this is definitely the book for you! I totally recommend it!

I am in such a Thriller\Mystery right now that I am digging through the web trying to find more and more series to dig into. That is how my Urban Fantasy obssession started years ago and like it, I don't see this newest obssession ending anytime soon.

Cruising through Netgalley, I came upon Wake to Darkness and when I saw it was from Maggie Shayne, a Thriller author I have enjoyed before, I had to have it.

Of course, my OCD didn't allow me to read Wake to Darkness before reading the previous novel, Sleep With the Lights On and the previous Novella, Dream of Danger. I did, loved them and will be revieweing them next, I promise.

But now, let's get back to the novel at hand. Wake to Darkness is a great follow up for this series and I personally felt that it was an improvement of the ones before, and I really liked them too.

I do recommend reading these in order, since the mystery in Wake to Darkness is directly related to the events in Sleep With the Lights On. I promise you won't regret it!

I am in love with Brown and De Luca. Not only is Rachel De Luca a great heroine, but is a bit of unusual one as well, which I love! She is cranky, annoying and obnoxious at times, but Maggie Shayne does some crazy literary magic and makes her lovable nonetheless. I love Rachel's back story. She was blind for most of her life, but got her eyesight back in the first novel of the series. I love following her and how she sees the world as if for the first time, it's exhilerating!

Mason Brown is a great hero as well, quite imature emotionally, but so is Rachel and I do see a lot of potential for them both.

The mystery is thrilling and don't worry, it does not take a back seat to the romance at all.

I hope we get more books in this new series by Maggie Shayne, because I am utterly hooked!
