Hey everyone! How you all doing?? I am so happy right now that I need to share it with you!

Next Tuesday, Jan. 26th, I am goinf to Italy to see my mom and step dad. I havent seen them in 3 years and I just can't wait!!! woooohooooo!! =)))

I will be filming a lot and I plan to have a some Vlog from Italy, so that will be loads of fun =)))

Also, I wanted to say that I know I havent done a giveaway when I reached 100, 150, 200 and 250 followers on the blog, but I have been having so many awesome giveaways and events, that I haven't had the time. So, I am sorry. I am planning a 300 Followers Giveaway, so, stay tuned!

As for today, I am so happy to present you my guest. Stella Price is one half of the S.A. Price duo and she is here today to give me an interview!

She will also answer YOUR questions in the Comments. So, don't forget to leave them...

When did you first start writing?
Well we both have been writing a long time apart, but it was 2005 that we started writing together, when Cash showed up and told us all about the Eververse.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?
Spending time with my sister. Since she’s so far away, its really the only way we can hangout on a regular basis.

Have you always been interested in Romance?
Not really. Im a big horror fan in my reading, as well the more odd ball kinda stuff that doesn’t fit any real genre.

What about in the Paranormal?
Oh totally! Aud is quite a scardy-cat ,  but we both likea lot of the paranormal things out there, though getting Aud to ghost hunt with me was NOT easy and I don’t think she will do it again.

Why writing Paranormal Romance?
Its how it ended up. Our characters, all of them, are sexual creatures and they like to show it, LOL.

Were there any Books, Movies or Writers that have inspired you?
For me, my top three influences are Poppy Z. Brite, Clive Barker and Douglas Clegg. Audra’s main influences are Jim Butcher and Simon R Greene, and Lewis Carroll.

What is your favorite subject in the Paranormal Romance Realm? Anything that’s NOT vamps and weres. Theres a lot of room out there for things that are out of the box and off the cuff so I like to support that kinda stuff.

The sex scenes in your books are so hot. Where do you get your inspiration?
Honestly? I have no idea. The characters kinda just show up and tell us what to write. I know that’s sounds really skitzo, but its how it works out.

Do you find it hard to write them?
Nah, because its not us that write it, its them, the characters. I’m detached when I write a sex scene because its really just our fingers involved with the keys, typing out the info.

Favorites:

Favorite Paranormal themed Movie? Labyrinth, hands DOWN!

Favorite Paranormal themed TV Show? Farscape and Dr. Who!

Favorite Paranormal themed Book? For both of us, it’s the Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark series.

Favorite Author? For me, its Poppy Z Brite and for Aud it’s Jim Butcher

Favorite Paranormal Romance Author? Kresley Cole

Favorite one of your Books? As of right now, Aud’s is Masquerade, and mine is Entwined by Fate.

Who is your favorite of your own characters? Why? For me, I love Marsh, though it’s a love hate relationship.

Which was the hardest to write? Why? Character? For me its Marsh (hence the love hate) because he wants things done when he wants it. For Aud its Drake, because he is so caustic.

What would you be if not a writer? Why? I don’t know. Probably still working in the art field full time.

Quickies:

This or That? This.
Coffee or Tea? Tea.
Up or Down? Down.
Virtual or Real? These days its Virtual because its easiest to deal with.
Right or Left? Left, always.
Vampires or Weresnakes? You kidding? WERESNAKES!
Angels or Demons? Ooh toughie. I love Fallen Angels, and I love love love our demons too… Imma say Both.
Reading or Writing? Writing. It calms the voices in our heads.

What is your favorite part of the writing process? Seeing the story take shape. With me and Aud, we never know how its going to end up, so it always a wild ride to see how things work out.

What is your least favorite part? The editing process.

The American Ophidian series in your own words?  Innovation. Flat out. This series is something that breaks boundaries on what the powers that be in literature deem marketable, and its still sexy, and a great story. I don’t normally sit here and tell people were wrote a winner, because we let our readers decide, but this book is one of the best we have ever written, and not only does it break the boundaries on what is acceptable in paranormal romance, but it gives readers something they have been lacking in their offered reading material: a choice for something new and different.

Any plans for more American Ophidian Books? Yep! We are looking at 4 or 5 books altogether at this point. You will see more of the characters and the world they live in.

What is coming up next for you? A lot of promotions for this book, and Audra and I will be writing the 5th Eververse book as well as the 2nd in an uncontracted series.

What are you working on right now? Book 2 of the weresnakes and book 3 of the Satyr series.

Do you have any advice or tip to those like me that want to become a published Author someday? Don’t compromise! Write what you love, what speaks to you, theres a market, you just have to find it.

Anything you would like to say to your fans out there? Thanks so much for reading us! Without you we would have no reason to put pen to paper so to speak, and would live and play alone with the wild characters who have chosen us to tell their stories. So thank you so much for letting us do what we do!

Thanks so much for stopping by Stella! =)))

Three Days of Weresnakes! [Day #2] - Character Interview w/ Aidan from The American Ophidian Series!

18 Lovely Comments!

Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well... I've had a pretty weird day today. I've been kind of down, but at the same time been enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse series a lot LOL and I have to say my Tweeps were AMAZING in cheering me up. You guys rock!!!

Well, let's get back to our regular programing, shall we? Today I have a very special guest here at Larissa's Life. Aidan is weresnake, a VERY HOT weresnake I might add and he is also second in command to John Merrick in the American Ophidian Series by S.A. Price.

Aidan is so HOT and it makes me really happy to know that the next book in the series is about him and Myra. YAY!

What about you get to know a bit more about him?

1. Whats it like working for Merrick?
It’s more like I work with him not for him and it’s not bad at all. Sure when push comes to shove he’s the guy in charge but that just makes him the one to blame when things go wrong. Mer likes getting things his own way but he’s always been more of a carrot man than a stick man. He’s good with incentives and I like incentives. He’s a really good guy and I’ll call anyone who says otherwise. Mer does take way too much onto his plate though. I’m pretty sure it’s a guilt thing but its none of my business, I’m just glad he didn’t cut me and Kir loose years ago.

2. What’s the naughtiest sexual encounter you have ever had?

Ah... well that would be telling and a gentleman never tells.
Good thing there’s none around, there was this one time in Greece with a real cougar and I mean she really shifted into a cougar. That cat knew exactly what she wanted and I have a claw mark or two that proves it. She did this thing with her tongue and an ice cube that was indescribable, still sends shivers through me just thinking about it.

3. When you’re not doing work with Merrick, what is it you like to do?

No big secret there, I like fire.  Course I like fucking and... can I say fucking? Anyway needless to say I’m a man of many F’s but fire is my real passion. In most of my spare time I’ll experiment with different materials building things up and burning them back down. There’s something about watching it spread and grow from a tiny spark, seeing it devour anything in its path until it dies down leaving warm glowy embers. It’s an obsession and I’m old enough to admit that it’s not an entirely healthy one, actually I have some scars to prove that too. Still nothing beats the haunting smell of accelerant.

4. Tell us about Myra...

Myra is... well she’s pretty alright... for a snake. She’s kind of like me in an unconventional snake kinda way. She paints with her body which is pretty fucking cool and it’s a very hot body, a very hot body. She uses her snake form as well which doesn’t freak me out as much as it might normally, maybe I’m growing as a person.  Plus she smells of turps which I’d be lying if I said that didn’t turn me the hell on.

5. When can we expect a story from you, if any?

I’ve been told there may be something in the works but whether Action man gets in there first I’m not going to know. It certainly isn’t the last from me though, I’m not one to sit quietly back and let shit pass me by.

Welcome to Three Days of Weresnakes! [Day #1] - ARC Review of Entwined by Fate by S.A. Price & Giveaway!

39 Lovely Comments!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are doing great! I want to thank you all for the love you guys have shown to my designs, you guys are awesome!

Now, I'd like to welcome you all to an awesome event that's going on at Larissa's Life this week.

Welcome to Three Days of Weresnakes!

S.A. Price's SUPER SEXY New book "Entwined by Fate" came out in Print today and to celebrate, they are giving away some awesome ebooks and swag! Giveaway deets are at the bottom of the post.

This is my ARC review of the book, enjoy!

"Thirty females of the Ophidian race have gone missing. Believed to be dead by every Archon in the states, Merrick leads a quiet and unassuming life, saving those of his race that are lost and need it most. It’s a solitary existence, one that he hates every day. He yearns for his mate, the woman he left over a decade before, and the woman who thinks him dead to this day.

When Elise Rizdon gets the official invitation to the Archon meeting in Ohio, she never expected to see the love of her life at the woman’s side, a man she was told was dead and buried. She lost him once upon a time, and she never fully recovered. Focusing on the issues, and not the man that has always made her body burn is not going to be easy.
A disturbing event is on the horizon, one that threatens all Ophidian’s and their way of life. In order to survive they will have to work together, give up old grudges and take chances on the things that matter most. Love, life and the continuation of their race."

From GoodReads.

For 15 years Elise has believed that the man that was to become her mate, was dead. Never having mated to no one else, Elise focused her life on taking care of her nest in New York and becoming a beloved and respected Archon.

John Merrick left the woman he loved years ago and, believing it would be safer for him and the love of his life, he let her and everyone else believe him dead. 15 years later, Merrick is an unofficial Archon and has been working with Ophidians without a nest (rogues) for a few years and an unexpected threat puts him face to face with the woman he could never forget.

Though I felt that this book dragged a bit in the beginning, I really enjoyed it. I love this world Stella and Audra have created and her characters are all very interesting. Besides Elise and Merrick's love story, there are a couple side tales that really catch the eye and just made me damn thirsty to read more.

Merrick is older, but hot as hell. The only thing that bothered me about him was his all so male attitude of not trusting the woman he loves and assuming he had to deal with what was keeping them apart on his own. His stubbornness cost him and Elise 15 years and it is damn irritating LOL.

Elise is such a strong character. Though it is obvious her weakness is John and the hole he left on her heart when he "died". I liked how she dealt with him when he first shows up again and I loved that though she wanted him more than ever, she was strong and demanded that he took her seriously once and for all. She seemed selfish at first and she even states that herself at times. But it is clear how much her nest and the future of her race is important to her.

I found the villain, Cristof, to be very creepy. I can't wait to see what comes up next. I loved the potential mates that we get introduced to. I have to say that Adrien and Homer are damn hot and I'm so happy that they are going to get their own books and HEA!

Though this first novel of the Ophidians is less naughty than the previous eBooks that take place in the same world. I found it very enjoyable and damn sexy too =)

I give it 4/5 Loveys

Smut Level 3.5/5 =)

Guest Post by Author Stella Price + Giveaway!

25 Lovely Comments!
Hey everyone! Today is Christmas Eve and I want to wish a Merry Christmas! to everyone that celebrates it and that your Holidays are full of Joy and Happiness!
One of the great things about twitter, IMO, is getting to know and meeting my favorite and new authors. Because of this amazing tool, I have had the chance to talk to a of of my favorites and the pleasure to meet new ones. Stella Price is one of the latter and I am honored that she agreed to stop by and share a bit about how writing with a partner. Not only that, but she is also giving away some ebooks. You'll find out how to enter at the end =)
Stella, the Floor (Post) is yours:

I get a lot of questions about one specific thing: Writing with a partner, Since Larissa was awesome enough to have me over here to talk about anything my black little heart desired, I figured I would post to you guys about the agony and the ecstasy that is writing with a partner.

See I have a special kind of hell when writing with a partner, since my partner is my sister. Don’t get me wrong, I love her, and we work so well together. We finish each other’s sentences, and we are always on the same page with characters and plot ideas. It’s much like having an extension of each other to feed off of. That’s the part that makes this a workable situation.

The part that makes the partnership hell on earth is the fact that she lives in Scotland, and I live in NY. 3k miles across an ocean, and I’m running a career for both people in this partnership al on my own. Because of the time difference, Audra is 5 hour ahead, and to get the two of us on at the same time to get writing done is about as much as we can muster these days.

See Audra got married last year, and is 7 months pregnant right now. She’s doing a lot of renovations on the flat, and trying to get ready for the baby, which we know is a boy. So, because of this, writing gets to the point of few and far between.

Before the little ninja was conceived, we would spend 5-8 hours a day online writing. Audra and I, between us, can write a 92k book in 20 days when we are on a roll, but because she doesn’t have a lot of time to do anything these days (and is always tired) we do spotty work over email. We used to do everything over IM together, but because of everything going on for her over the pond, She’s not available like she used to be.

Don’t get me wrong, once the little one is born, I’m thinking we are going to have a bit more time to write, as they do sleep a good portion of the time and her MiL is trying to be Rumplestilkskin and take the baby at every turn. Fine by me… I mean we have work to write LOL.

Stella & Audra Price

But on the real side of it, I wouldn’t be anywhere without her. She’s the ying to my yang you know? We connect on a level sisters shouldn’t, but it works for us. The only thing I wish I didn’t have to always do alone is the conventions and appearances. On the off chance she can make it to the states (she does show for she Authors After Dark convention) its always a wild time, though this past time she was here, she was preggers, and didn’t get wild… next year, all bets are off, provided my Brother in law doesn’t knock her up again LOL.

So when you read one of our stories, remember that its two people, in two different countries with the same brain. Its not the easiest of partnerships, but it does work for us. I’m just hoping it will for years to come. I love spending time with my sister, and this really is the only way I can do it.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us Stella and please know that you are always welcome to stop by =)

Lala's Book Corner : A Gift of Daybreak by Stella and Audra Price

3 Lovely Comments!
"Thrust into what could be a very illicit situation, could a man not looking for love find it where he least expects it?
When Andy Derrell went to Las Vegas to enjoy a wedding he never thought he would be propositioned by one of the most notorious nests in the country to audition its female members for a possible mate. But there he was, with six females to choose from, females that were coveted by their own territory's men. Fajer Copeland, the only non-venomous snake of the southwestern nest, and their most sought after beauty is not looking for a mate, and is fine with being alone. Until the night Andy shows up in her bedroom doorway. Can she fall for the man that entices both her body and her mind and look forward to a life she always dreamed of?"
From GoodReads.
Andrew is the last unmated males of his nest and during his cousin's wedding in Vegas he is approached by the Head of the local nest, Olivia, to audition females that are available to be taken as mates. The Vegas territory nest is full of venomous snakes, so Andy doesn't really think he will find a mate there.
I see Andy as a very contradictory man. He is the oldest of his cousins and time and time again says he does not want a mate anytime soon or ever. However, it only takes seeing Fajer in a picture, for her to capture his attention and it only takes her scent for all other females to disappear in his eyes. In my opinion, he only thought he didn't want a mate. I mean, he wanted Fajer as a mate and none else would do.
It is interesting that, as in life, no matter how many times you say that you are not ready for a relationship, when the right person comes along, it all goes out the window in one second.
This was not my favorite of the three books, but I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless. I liked to see that a true love story came out of the attempt to have an arranged mating. Andy turned out to be so romantic and a true gentleman. Whereas Fajer thirst for life was just as endearing.
A Gift of Daybreak might have been less naughty than the previous 2 books, but it was not less sexy. Andrew got to be sexy in a less kinky way, but in a more romantic and passionate way. I loved that and I enjoyed the difference.
I got really into this world Stella and Audra have created. I am proud to say that I am Team Weresnakes! hehe
I give it 4/5 Loveys
Smut level 3.5/5!
Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon!

Lala's Book Corner : Surrender in Moonlight by Stella and Audra Price

7 Lovely Comments!
No Sexy Sundays this week guys, sorry. But I brought you guys a review of a very sexy book! =)
"Reece Evans, the nest bad boy and only male Anaconda in the NY nest, is NOT looking for a mate, but he is looking for a wild ride. When he goes to Dry Ice one night he meets Carmen, a viper and a rogue, and the attraction is beyond hot. When she steals his motorcycle from under his nose and then calls him to bail her out, Reece sees his opportunity for a very satisfying tryst still within his grasp. He agrees, on the condition that she stay with him a month, and be his sexy plaything. Little does he know he’s sealed his fate, Carmen is exactly the snake he never knew he couldn’t live without."
I have to say that the Price sisters really got me hooked with this book. This is the second of the Knossos West Weresnakes series and you can find my review of book 1 here. I have to say I loved this book and I think it was even better than the 1st.
We meet Reece in the previous book and to be quite honest, he is a Dick! However, in "Surrender in Moonlight" we get to know more of him and even though he is still pretty much a prick, you can't help but fall for that hot piece of... ahem! Back to my point... Reece and Carmen's story is so freaking hot.
I found that this book had more internal conflicts that added depth to the story and the world Stella and Audra built. The biggest conflict is that Carmen is actually a venomous snake and keeps it a secret from Reece. Since for the mating to happen they both need to bite each other, this becomes a problem for her.
I loved how everything progressed and I can't wait to dig into Book 3 =)
One thing that bothered me in this book, and as a matter of fact in the previous as well, was an overuse of pet names. I love them and I think they really worked in the book, but it got to a point that in 5 or more consecutive sentences exchanged between characters ALL of them had one pet name or another.
That really is my only complaint. I loved Stella and Audra's writing and they can consider me a Huge fan from now on!
I'll give it 4.5/5 Loveys!
Smut Level 5/5! (Yes ladies, it isssss THAT hot! hehe)
Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon!
xoxo
