Twenty years after the terror of First Dawn—when mankind learned that vampires lived secretly among them—the threat of violence reigns as the two species struggle to coexist. The only group preserving the fragile harmony is the Order, an elite cadre of Breed warriors dedicated to protecting humans and vampires alike. And in this precarious world of torn loyalties and shattered trust, Mira, a fiery squad captain, finds that every fight bears an intensely personal cost. Raised among the Order, Mira has always believed in the warrior’s code of swift—and even lethal—justice. But the o e thing she desires more than the Order’s hard-won acceptance is Kellan Archer, a sexy but troubled Breed fighter. In love with him since childhood, Mira once broke through his tough exterior during an unexpected night of rapture, but the next day he mysteriously disappeared, never to return. Kellan didn’t think he would ever see Mira again—or have to confront the truth of why he left. After abandoning the Order years ago, he now leads a band of human rebels intent on carrying out their own vigilante rule of law. Yet a high-profile kidnapping assignment brings him face-to-face with the past he sought to avoid, and the striking woman he has tried desperately to forget. And as tensions mount and the risk of bloodshed grows, Kellan and Mira must take sides—between the competing missions that dominate their lives, and the electrifying passion that claims their hearts.
*Contains Very MINOR SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous books in this series.
I LOVE that Lara decided to go forward in time and give us the next generation of warrior and couples. It is so easy for Paranormal Romance series to get stale and become always the same old story, but Lara Adrian found a way to rejuvenate her Midnight Breed series and I am absolutely obsessed about it!
Mira has been one of my favorite characters in the series and to see her grown up and finding love was a dream come true. She is awesome and so kick-ass, that witnessing her HEA was amazing!
Kellan is SO hot! It is a bit weird to lust after a character that you have seen as a kid, but I don't care, Lara Adrian made it right and now I have a new book boyfriend LOL.
Edge of Dawn is exactly what this series needed and I for one, cannot wait for more and more of it!

In the dark of night, a blood war escalates within the hidden world of the Breed. After existing in secret for many long centuries, maintaining a fragile peace with the humans who walk beside them unaware, a single act of retaliation has put the entire vampire nation at risk of discovery. It falls to the Order—a cadre of Breed warriors pledged to protect their own and humankind alike—to stop Dragos, the power-mad vampire at the center of the conflict, before his push for domination can explode into catastrophe. At the center of the Order’s quest is Sterling Chase, once a morally rigid enforcer of Breed law, now a warrior fallen from grace, whose biggest battle is the one he wages against his own savage nature. With addiction beckoning him toward eternal darkness, Chase’s path to redemption has never seemed more out of reach. But when his eyes meet those of Tavia Fairchild, a beautiful witness who identifies him at the scene of a mission gone terribly wrong, Chase finds himself drawn to the woman—and convinced she is something much more than she seems. Pulled into a vortex of intrigue and danger she can neither resist nor understand, Tavia is uncertain whom to trust. And while everything sane and logical warns her against getting close to Chase, she cannot deny that the handsome, deeply haunted male stirs something primal and ravenous within her. But even as she surrenders to her cravings, nothing can prepare her for the shattering truth of who—and what—she truly is. As the Order’s enemy mobilizes for the battle of the ages, Dragos and his Minions unleashing a hell on Earth like nothing ever seen before, Chase and Tavia are thrust into the heart of the violence. With time running out and the streets running red with the blood of innocent lives, both Breed and human, together Chase and Tavia must find a way to defeat Dragos once and for all—or die trying.

Finally! Sterling Chase finally gets his story told! Chase a.k.a. Harvard was one of the late additions to the Order, but quickly captured the harts of the Midnight Breed fans all over, all of whom have been hoping for his HEA with our hearts in our hands, hoping for the best.
Of the current members of the Order, Chase is the last one to get his HEA and after his specially featured role in Hunter's book, Deeper Than Midnight, the expectation for his story just got that much higher and I am so happy to say that Lara Adrian delivered it in spades!
We met Chase's HEA in Deeper Than Midnight and Tavia proves to be such an awesome mate to our dear Harvard and Lara has an incredible twist where she is concerned that I thought was a great addition to the series.
Now when it comes to Chase, I have to say that the poor guy basically goes from Hell to an even hotter Hell throughout the novel and his path back to a Haven he has always been reticent to wish for is far from easy.
I LOVED Darker After Midnight! It is such a fantastic novel and the perfect ending to the current arch of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns Lara threw at me and I think the ending had the the perfect tone.
After all this time and adventures, I cannot wait to read about the next generation of the Breed, which is what i believe we are getting for the next arch of this incredible series.
If you are a Midnight Breed series fan, this is an absolute MUST read! You will NOT be disappointed!

Hey everyone! I almost missed the date, I’ve so busy at work =/ But it’s here! My little corner of the blogosphere is completing 5 years today (Saturday).
It is funny to think how much things can change in a year. I look back at last year’s celebration and see an awesome event that I am very proud of, but then I look at right now and realize that not only have I almost let the date slip by, but I also have nothing planed =/
Well, I decided to do something different this year, I’m still going to give something away, but I also wanted to write a meaningful post to all my readers, fellow bloggers and beloved authors out there.
First and foremost I would like to apologize some things. Number one, I am sorry for not being around much lately and posting on the blog much less frequently than usual.
Life gets in the way and for once I have a job I actually love and it has been keeping me exhausted all the time.
Number two, I’m sorry if I still haven’t sent you your prize from this year’s Book Boyfriend giveaway =( we, my dad and I, have been having a tight year and haven’t been able to afford the posting for a couple of the prizes. I WILL be sending them out as soon as I get paid in December! I promise!
Number three, I’m sorry for not commenting on anyone’s blog lately =/ I love drowning in my reader, read your posts and comment. I was doing it at least once a week, but again I haven’t been able to lately =/
Now for the good part…
Thank you SO much for all the love you all have been giving me since I started reviewing since 2009. This blog has been around since 2007, but it was strictly a personal blog for a while, my reviewing thing came up later on and has been going on ever since.
I LOVE Blogging! It makes me so happy to share my love for books with you all and the opportunities I have had because of it were incredible!
I was Larissa Ione’s roommate for a night, had bday dinner with Lara Adrian, danced with both of them, got to be a part of a panel at AAD, got nominated for Blog of the year, was mentioned in the Acknowledgements of Eternal Ride by Larissa Ione, attending the NY Comic Con… Things I would have never have imagined in ONE MILLION YEARS!
I have met as well, incredible authors that not only write well but are fantastic people as well like Kitty Thomas, Gini Koch, Carolyn Crane, Dakota Cassidy, Nancy Holzner, Jeaniene Frost, Jocelynn Drake and SO MANY more that I adore!
Last but not least, I have been able to be silly, try new things and expand my reading horizons all because of YOU!
So I need to say…
THANK YOU!
~I’m so sorry if I forgot to mention someone! I love you all!
