(originally titled Transparent Lovers)
Private investigator Richard Steele must solve his most difficult case ever—his own murder—while caught between women on both sides of the grave. His lover Lee is tangled up in the mess he left behind, and his dead ex-wife has been waiting on the other side for her chance at revenge.
In a race against time as his spirit slips away, Richard confronts his many, many failings and faces a power beyond his understanding--love.
And it's going to be a hell of a final showdown.

The Dead Love Longer by Scott Nicholson
Possibly the most confusing book review I've ever had to do, I read this when it was called the Transparent Lovers and I am behind with writing up my reviews that when I did I realised it had been renamed to The Dead Love Longer. I'm not a fan of the new title I confess and the thing is I really loved the book but the title change is almost cheating on the book. This review is based on the Transparent Lovers book which I was asked to review.
I can't contain how much I loved this book, Private Investigator Richard Steele has to solve his own murder. He also has to cope with his ex-wife Diana who has been waiting for revenge on the other side and his lover Lee who has to cope with the mess he has left behind. He has to solve his murder before he can move onto the afterlife.
The reason I loved this book is the way it's all put together, I was never confused and found myself in tears by the end. Whilst the story is about him solving his own murder it's also so much more, the physical and emotional side of our lives too. I would definitely re-read this and recommend this for people to read. I enjoyed how humour was brought into the story and this makes the story seem more real to the reader. You may find you bookmark several passages and pages to come back to at a later date to re-read as it's truly a great piece of work.
Definitely 5 Loveys for this but I might sound picky but the new title could have pushed me to lower the score. So I'm giving 5 for the Transparent Lovers!

Awesome review again hon. I know I have plenty of Scott Nicholson's work through Amazon and luckily this is one of them YAY! I love finding books that are not only good, but you want to read over and over again. I love the concept. I can't believe this is a short story, sounds incredible for for just 70 pages. Thanks so much hon. I should crack this open tonight :)
I read this a while ago and remember it as being really unusal. I agree that transparent lovers is the better name, but perhaps the dead love longer will draw more readers.
Diana - I need to read more of his work, why does my list get longer and my time get shorter? ;-)
Tahlia - Agree with your comments about the title, Transparent Lovers fits the story but The Dead Live Longer is more of a obvious grabbing title
