My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.
But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why—especially since I should have been the one who died. . .

*NO SPOILERS
I have to admit that nowadays the Paranormal YA genre has been a lot of hit and miss for me. I haven’t been quite as drawn to the genre as I used to be and I tend to only read books that are the newest installment in series I already love, from authors I already like or very well recommended by my favorite bloggers.
I am a fan of Jennifer Estep’s UF series and was thoroughly intrigued by this new series of hers when I saw it. I was lucky enough to receive it and I have to say, I was NOT disappointed!
Touch of Frost has it all, a great and flawed heroine in Gwen, action, great world building, myths, legends and all of that in a private school setting, which quite honestly is a setting I love for Paranormal YA novels.
Gwen is a great YA leading lady because she is flawed. I mean, she is a teenager after all and that is definitely ok, it makes her more real to us readers and easier to relate to.
The Mythos Academy is full of mythological warriors that are set on protecting the world from evil and Jennifer Estep has hit a homerun in creating this world and characters. I for one will await breathlessly for the next installment of this series and I absolutely recommend it to any Paranormal YA reader out there, this is a MUST READ!
