Ayla returns to her family, and her pack, after several years away as she had become a lone wolf after starting a relationship with a human woman and her family had trouble with it. Now she is back with the hope of mending her relationship with her parents. When Shannon, Ayla’s girlfriend and a PI by trade, begins to investigate a case involving a missing werewolf, Ayla gets drawn into helping solve the case. It soon becomes obvious that there is a link between a new drug called Silver Kiss and some very strange behaviour amongst young werewolves. It is up to Shannon and Ayla to find out where the missing girl is, as well as who is supplying this drug, in an attempt to stop anybody else from getting hurt.
I really liked this book and the world created within it. As the existence of werewolves has been around for a while they have booths on the streets ready for them to change. Of course there is still hate and discrimination but that makes this story more real. I don't think it would be fair to tell a story like this without their being a bit of conflict.
There is a lot of elements in Silver Kiss; mystery and romance being the main two. The book is enjoyable to read but I would have liked to find out the culprit later in the book, I like a bit of suspense in a story. Nevertheless this is a good read with very intriguing characters as I mentioned I liked the world created (I have since checked my local streets for those booths!)
