*Minor Spoilers for the previous book in the series
Right when I was feeling Paranormal YA didn’t have that much to offer me anymore and I got to believe I might need an extended break from the genre, That I get the chance to read this amazing series by one of my favorite authors. My hopes have been restored and the Paranormal YA has gotten a reprieve in my eyes.
Shift is the second book in Jeri Smith-Ready’s Shade series and it picks up right where Shade left off, with Aura being able to do what is believed to be the impossible for the boy once known as her boyfriend and her first love.
In Aura’s world anyone born from her birth date on is able to see and talk to ghosts. That change in the world’s perspective is known as the Shift and Aura has been extremely curious about it for a long time. She is certain that there is more behind the Shift than is believed and she plans to get to the bottom of it.
In Shift the whole gang is back and more mysteries are unveiled. The book is very emotional and exciting and if you enjoyed Shade you are sure going to love Shift.
I have to say that even though I really like Logan, I am totally Team Zachary. He is so swoon worthy that I recommend reading this book lying down. However, what I love most about Zach is that even though he is awesome, he is also real and flawed in a way that is impossible to not relate.
Aura is such a great leading lady. I love that she doesn’t really shy away from her feelings. She might avoid dealing with them from time to time, but she usually owns them and the consequences of feeling them quite well.
Jeri Smith-Ready has already taken over my hart with her Fantasy trilogy and then with her awesome UF series, now with her YA one she has created a deadly trio that will basically grab you, regardless of age or taste.
If you enjoy Paranormal YA books, this is definitely a series I recommend wholeheartedly!

Another YA series that I have not read :( I really need to find a way to freeze time
I really did enjoy Shade, so I'm looking forward to Shift. I'm curious about all the questions going on. Zach *is* a good character. I love when they are flawed! Thanks for sharing.

Even though I am totally Team Logan, I do admit that you are right when you say that Zach is -
