Hello Everyone!!! Sunday is here and it’s time for another Top 5! YAY!
This week’s results:
Fave Paranormal Y.A. Series! = 11 (52%)
Fave Character Names! = 10 (47%)
The theme for today is:
Fave Paranormal Y.A. Series!
But first, a little bit about this feature and the rules to join in…
Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.
Rules:
- Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
- Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
- Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
- After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
- If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)
This week’s theme is Fave Paranormal Y.A. Series!
Ok guys, so I cheated on my list today and I came up with 11 picks {I LOVE the number 11}… but I divided into two categories with 5 picks each and one special mention.
The categories are series that have ended and series that are still going on =)
*in no particular order
Still Going On Series:
Mortal Instruments Series
This was one series I honestly thought was over, but thankfully we’re getting 3 more books!
It’s such a great series with a lot of action, a great and scary villain, not to mention an awesome hero and heroin!
Curse Workers Series
This is a recent one to me, but it’s such a great one!
It’s an out of the box world with a very uncommon hero that you can’t help but love.
Morganville Vampires Series
Amazing series that i hope never ends hehe!
Iron Fey Series
Even me not being a huge Fey fan, this series captured my heart and The Iron Knight can’t come soon enough.
Soul Screamers Series
A great series that doesn’t follow the norm when it comes to paranormal world or the path the characters are taking. Awesome!
Finished Series:
Secret Circle Trilogy
Vampire Diaries is NOT my favorite LJ Smith series, at all! She has amazing ones and The Secret Circle is definitely one of them!
Darkest Powers Trilogy
I know, I know, there is going to be another YA trilogy in the same world, but this story with these characters as protagonists is over and it was an amazing ride!
Dark Visions Trilogy
My favorite LJ Smith series!!! This is such an awesome trilogy!
If you haven’t read this one, you so totally should!
Harry Potter Series
Do I need to say more? Like, seriously?
Vampire Academy Series
Such great books, with such incredibly strong and heartbreaking characters!
Richelle Mead can do NO wrong!
Special Mention:
Nightworld Series
I Love this series, but the final and 10th book was supposed to have been released over 10 years ago =(

xoxo,
Ooo I love The Iron Fey!! Great list!
Great picks this week Larissa! But while on your end you had trouble picking only 5, I had a hard time finding 5. Oh well! Hehe. Ooh, and I was so speedy today and signed the linky before you squeezed in your test submission. Mwahaha. :P
@Casey
Thanks!
@Carmel
OMG that is hilarious!!! LOL
you were super fast hehe
While a tough one to do, this one was still fun!! Had to do a completed and on going list as well!
@Jessica
hehe I know! it was so hard LOL =)
HP, Iron Fae, Curse Workers are the 3 series I've read so far. I guess I wouldn't have done well trying to think of 5! :)
Awesome! I totally agree and I love all your picks!<3
The Mortal Instruments and Vampire Academy are my favorites! And I also love the other series of LJ Smith more than TVD. Dark Visions is my fave too and I wish she just finished Night World already!:( She keeps saying it's going to be released for a couple of years!
Chronicles of Nick. Why? Because it's the only YA series I've ever read. Deborah Cooke sent me an ARC of her YA spinoff series and I'm sure I'll enjoy it but those 2 will most likely be it for me. As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm not a YA fan :-)

AHHH! So many fabulous series on this list Larissa! I absolutely adore the Mortal Instruments, Vampire Academy and Morganville vampire books. I still need to read the Curse Workers and the Soul Screamers (I adore her Shifters books), so I'm hoping to make time for those sometime soon:)
I don't know how you even narrowed it down to 11! There are so many amazing series!
For future top 5 ideas maybe:
Top 5 by genre such as Top 5 vampire books, Top 5 Faery stories, Top 5 zombie, Top 5 dystopian novels, etc.
Top 5 paranormal YA books with a male lead character. (There aren't quite so many of them!)
Top 5 YA books written by a male author.
Love your Sunday feature!
Cutest header ever hun!
I love the Iron Fey series. Prince Ash is *swoon*
:) That was fun. I really need to get caught up with some of my YA series so I could make quicker choices. I really need to pick up Cassandra Clare's stuff already, seeing them on everyone's lists all the time has me convinced I'm missing something mindblowing.
I'm not sure if you want the top five Sundays to always be book specific but I could seriously use a top five ways to cure a blogging/reviewing slump. :P
Happy Sunday Larissa!
Oh..I got nothing, for me all pnr YA books fall short and they annoy me :( I hope to find a good one one day
Larissa-
I am not actually participating this week since I have only read one YA series which are the Percy Jackson (Rick Roidan) books which I LOVED so it wins by default for me!
But I had some Top 5 suggestions. Now if you have already done these, I apologize.
-Top 5 most jaw dropping "plot twists" in a novel.
-Top 5 paranomal powers you would like.
-Top 5 funny one liners in a novel.
-Top 5 book quotes
-Top 5 worst book covers (Think any of Chrstine Feehans covers)

As always, great list :)
I've read so far only City of Bones from the Mortal Instruments & I'm planning to catch up with the series ;) I also absolutely love Harry Potter series (re-read it so many times - I might still be a little obsessed, but I think that will end with the last movie) & I just read the Curse Workers & I loved it & I just realised that we agree on Cassel ;) You really just can't help it, but love him :)
The Iron Fey, Darkest Powers, Soul Screamers & Vampire Academy series are on my tbr list, but just hadn't gotten around to them :) Thanks for all your recommendations!
Excellent Choices. I loved LJsmith's nightworld series and read it over 14 years ago. It's such a shame the last book has never been released.
I purchased the Morganville books when I saw them after reading this list on Sunday. You are my book source. :) x
@Aleksandra
Thanks!
Hope you get to read them all, somany great series =D
@Susan
Awwww I am? Thats so cool!
Hope you love them as much as I do! =)
