Some men just have more to offer. Like Bo Novikov, the hard-muscled shape-shifter hero of this wildly funny, deeply sexy new novel from Shelly Laurenston-part polar bear, part lion, pure alpha...
Ten years after Blayne Thorpe first encountered Bo Novikov, she still can't get the smooth-talking shifter out of her head. Now he's shadowing her in New York-all seven-plus feet of him-determined to protect her from stalkers who want to use her in shifter dogfights. Even if he has to drag her off to an isolated Maine town where the only neighbors are other bears almost as crazy as he is...
Let sleeping dogs lie. Bo knows it's good advice, but he can't leave Blayne be. Blame it on her sweet sexiness-or his hunch that there's more to this little wolfdog than meets the eye. Blayne has depths he hasn't yet begun to fathom-much as he'd like to. She may insist Bo's nothing but a pain in her delectable behind, but polar bears have patience in spades. Soon she'll realize how good they can be together. And when she does, animal instinct tells him it'll be worth the wait...

I was absolutely torn, torn if I should just give in to my addiction and read this books right away or wait until it was closer to the next release in this series in May. Well, as addictions go, I obviously could NOT wait another second, if I could I don’t think i could have called it an addiction, could I?
We met Blayne in The Mane Squeeze, she being Gwen’s best friend, she got a lot of screen time and I was dying to read her HEA. Blayne is a Wolfdog hybrid and a bit on the crazy/weird side. She is hyperactive, very short attention span and some may consider her mentally unstable. However, what stood out for me in the Mane Squeeze was the size of Blayne’s heart. She is extremely loyal to those she loves and when she loves/cares for some one, you can bet she will go to the moon to make them happy.
I was fascinated about reading things from her perspective. Blayne is very intelligent, but her mind is very scattered and always has a million things going on at the same time. I was afraid that, that would make the reading a bit weird or annoying, but again, I should have just trusted in Shelly’s genius. Blayned is one of the most fascinating characters I have ever read and I want her as my best friend! Here’s is how her dad describes her {and I love it, cause it’s so true!}:
"I know she's weird. Her friends know she's weird. And we all accept it because she's weird, but also amazing."
The conqueror of Blayne’s heart couldn’t be more of a shock. Polar Bear-Lion Hybrid and Professional Shifter Hockey player Bo “The Marauder” Novikov is a terror on the ice and many believe he is just as much of one in life as well. He Certainly scowls and growls enough for Blayne to think so, no wonder 10 years ago Blayne had one look at the staring “Maurauder” and she ran for the hills.
Ten years later and she finds herself in the same position, but needing to be a better derby player and tired of people saying she is too nice on the rink, Blayne asks Bo to help her training. Making them a very peculiar pair, specially with Blayne’s scatter brain and Bo’s obsession with time, schedules and neatness.
These two couldn’t look more like the odd couple, but they just work! Only Blayne could put up and actually understand Bo’s ways and not be afraid, only Bo could appreciate how unique Blayne is. They make a very HOT couple and a delight to read.
I also loved the overall plot of this book. Hybrid shifters are being grabbed and used in illegal fighting, with Blayne as the next target, we get to see more of their world and quite a lot of action. I also really liked the political and social aspects in this novel, with the prejudice against Hybrids being addressed and Blayne’s fight to protect them.
Another amazing installment in this Fabulous series! I am dying for May now and finally reading Ric and Dee’s story! I can’t wait! Are you reading this series yet? No? oh, come on!
