Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.
Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

In Eve of Samhain one of the intriguing characters was Martha, the witch and I was keen to learn more about her. Through the Pleasure Untold we get the chance to learn more about her. Martha is a feisty woman who destroys all things evil, particularly vampires. She wants revenge on one particular vampire, Lucian, who had killed her mother. This all becomes a little wayward when she meets Xan, a sexy vampire who catches her heart and makes her think about her actions.
I'd loved Eve of Samhain and straight away after finishing it I went straight onto Pleasures Untold. It did not disappoint, Sanchez's debut novel was fantastic and this also lives up to that title too. The story is intriguing, sexy, sincere, funny and thought provoking. Sanchez is fast becoming one of my favorite author's and I do like the fact that this book stands alone so you don't need to have read Eve of Samhain first, although you should read it!
Perhaps it was just me but at first I did struggle with Martha's personality as she feels so low about herself and at times I found I wanted to shout at her and tell her to not be so down on herself but it's all part of who she is and the issues that she needs to work through. Through her friends and then with Xan we see Martha open up more and some of the witty one liners had me laughing out loud.
The book goes on several twists and turns and some you might be prepared for but others maybe not. I love a unpredictable read! I cannot wait for more in this series, I'm off to re-read Eve of Samhain as now I have a whole new view to Martha than I had before. Great book, great author and you have to read them!

Okay, I still need to read the first one, but if this one is good too... Oh, my wishlist just exploded!
It can be read on it's own without reading the first one but you definitely should read both!
You always have the coolest books I have never heard of before. Great review! Since you rated it as 5 I will def have to check it out!
;)
Great review and spoiler free! Yay! I adore Omnific Publishing and have had my eye on Lisa Sanchez's books. I watched her vlog yesterday of the books she's been reading and they are the same books I've read or want to read. When a writer also likes to read the same type of books you do, it's a close bet they write what you want to read too. :)
new follower! love the blog! check out mine too please!! =]
