Sarah Thompson knows what it's like to have a midlife crisis at twenty nine. She has spent the last several years running her own yoga studio and trying to survive being single in a small gossipy town. And if that were not enough, she decides it is the perfect time to go back to school. So you see, Sarah's world was already spinning when she learns that her hunky professor has teeth … as in Vampire teeth!
This undead hero, aka Charles Underwood, introduces her to a fantastic world filled with good and evil. It is a world where Sarah learns that she is a Watcher. Her birthmark foretells a prophecy that throws her into the middle of a magical conflict where battle lines have already been drawn. Does Sarah trust this new found hero or is she just a pawn in his plans to win the war?

The Last Watcher |
Sarah is at a crossroads in her life where she's looking for something new and she thinks going back to study will be the way forward. Soon she realizes that her future is already mapped out and her birthmark holds many answers. Meeting Charles she learns of who she is (a watcher) and how important she is to be in the battle between good and evil.
I admit reading the synopsis of The Last Watcher I was already hooked. The book itself is a small read but don't let that put you off, Burke manages to capture an in depth story into a punchy page turner. I could not stop reading it, from when Sarah finds out her hunky lecturer (Charles) is a vampire you get sent on a journey with her through forbidden feelings into a world that she knows nothing about.
The Last Watcher is a fantastic quick read. Burke manages to combine so many pieces of the paranormal- werewolves, vampires, dwarves and more. There's possibly room if Burke wanted to make this into a series. I'd really love to know what happens to Charles, Sarah and the others next...
If you're into paranormal romance then this is for you. You will definitely not want to put it down.

Hm... this sounds like a good one. I'll have to check into this book. Thanks!
I love when a short book delivers a fantastic story that's more in depth that you would have thought possible for it's reduced page count. Since I'm a huge PNR fan and you gave it a 4.5, it is going on my list for sure:)
I was wondering, does this book have a print edition? I don't have an ereader :(
This sounds great. Must buy x
Definitely put it on your must read lists.
Cherry - there doesn't seem to be a print edition as yet :(
No way that much fits into one small story. I'd love to have a professor that bites. LOL
Sounds like a fun read. Thanks for letting me know about it.
This sounds like a great book Larissa! And it is nice to see a stand-alone book when it seems like everything is in a series nowadays!
Thanks for the great review! I will be adding this to my TBR list!
You are so right the synopsis will get you hooked!
I do have my eye on this one! Great review!!
