Me? A Leader? Okay, I did prove that there's more to Inside than we knew. That a whole world exists beyond this cube we live in. And finding that led to a major rebellion - between worker scrubs like me and the snobby uppers who rule our world. Make that ruled. Because of me, we're free. I thought that meant I was off the hook, and could go off on my own again - while still touching base with Riley, of course. He's the one upper I think I can trust. But then we learned that there's outside and then there is Outside. And something from Outside wants In.

*contains VERY MINOR spoilers if you haven’t read Inside Out and NO Spoilers for Outside In.
I loved Maria V. Snyder’s Y.A. debut, Inside Out, so when I saw that it was going to be a series I was really excited. As soon as it became available of NetGalley I jumped at the chance of getting it and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed.
After all that Trella and the scrubs went through to over throw the leadership of Inside, things should be easier now and peace should rein, right? Right? It couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Things seem to be more confusing then ever on the Inside, the Scrubs and Uppers are having a hard time of letting go of their prejudices about each other and the newly former committee can’t seem to agree in anything regarding the way things should work. Trella doesn’t want to get involved, she never did, but being the face of the revolution has made people trust her and look to her for a solution, but all she wants is explore the new found extension of Inside and spend time with Riley.
However, it seems she won’t get her wish anytime soon. Inside is being attacked by forces unknown, bombs are exploding, systems are malfunctioning and sabotage is the main suspect. All fingers seem to point in different directions and Trella has to wear her “Queen of the pipes” hat once again and help bring peace to Inside.
I LOVED Outside In, in a way i think I enjoyed this sequel even more than I enjoyed Inside Out. I love dystopian novels and I love seeing the ins and outs of a complicated society trying to deal with the unexpected. I hate politics in real life, but I love reading about the sort of politics we find in series like Inside Out and The Hunger Games. I find it fascinating and Outside In was plate full of goodness in that aspect.
Not to mention that the action in this novel left nothing to be desired. I read this book in one sitting and I wanted so much more. Maria V. Snyder’s writing flows right off the page so easily that you can’t help but diving in and only coming up for air when the story is done.
I really enjoyed the ending of Outside In, but I’m not sure there will be a third book in the series, I seriously hope so! I want more Trella, Riley and all the gang! If you enjoy dystopian worlds, you should absolutely give this series a try, you won’t be disappointed!
