Books You Loved & Was Surprised by it!
*Thanks to Amberscottproject for coming up w/ this theme!
But first, a little bit about this feature and the rules to join in…
Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.
Rules:
- Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
- Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
- Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
- After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
- If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)
This week’s theme is Books You Loved & Was Surprised by it!
This wasn’t such a hard theme for me and it’s the perfect example of how much becoming a book reviewer has been good to me hehe
These are all books I have received for review and books I would probably never try out if I hadn’t… I would be missing SO much if that was the case…
*in no particular order

I have always had a bit of prejudice against Contemporary romances, I have been opening up to the genre little by little and this one was an AMAZING read!

I’ve been feeling a little jaded when it comes to Y.A., even of the Paranormal kind. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book and the series in general, that my hope in the genre is strengthening again, a bit at a time.

Another Contemp. Romance that totally surprised me!
Loved it!

Again, another Y.A. that I didn’t expect to love as much as I did!
Awesome book!

This is an AMAZING Paranormal series that doesn’t really look it, huh?
But I absolutely recommend it! Another awesome book!
Honorable Mention:
I am IN LOVE with Shelly Laurenston Books!
Don’t let these covers push you away!
They are full of Smutty Goodness and they are Some of the most HILARIOUS Books you’ll ever read!

What a fun idea,Larissa! I will be coming back in a bit to do this! Great choice of books that you have as well. I have not read any of them, but will have to check them out further!
Glad to see Minder on that list. I have it in my review pile, and like you, I've been feeling a little letdown by YA lately. Good to know it's worth reading!
Have a great rest of the weekend, Larissa!
@April
Thanks hon!!! Looking forward to seeing your post! =D
@Nat
Thanks Nat! I Know! I've been having the hardest time with YA! Cant wait to see what you think of minder! =D
I am so horrid so I would have dissed them cos of those covers :(
@Blodeuedd
I totally get That!! I would as well, but they are fabulous books! =|D
Agree with all! (especially the 'Redhead' series! So glad you loved them)
I'd also include Shelly Laurenston's 'Magnus Pack' covers. Who knew I would become this obsessed with her!?
@Danielle
OMG you're so right!!! I need to add them in as Honorable mention LOL
I am in love with her books LOL
This is a great idea. I noticed when I made my list, I judged a lot of them from there names alone.. I linked up.
Love your choices! I didn't think I'd like Touched by an Alien and it was one of my favorite reads last year!
Nice topic this week, I always find new books to read when I look at your list.
This was a hard list to do.
I haven't read any on yours but I will have to check them out.
I loved this topic! So I did another top 5 sundays haha
This one was a lot easier to do that last weeks top 5 ;)
I always love doing this on sunday!
Awesome post hon!!! I have not yet had the pleasure of reading these titles but I will as soon as I get the chance!!! Thank you for sharing :D
Larissa,
I had tons of fun participating in this! Kate Kaynak just sent me Minder, so I was pleased to see it on your list! Can't wait to read it!
Have a great week!

You know, I'm always surprised when books with covers I don't like, turn out to be really good. I have heard amazing things about Minder and Lights of Asteria, but I don't like the covers.
It's always a nice surprise. Thanks for sharing your top picks.
I enjoyed Minder too! I agree with you about feeling jaded though. I've read a lot of bad books lately. I really need to check out Seers of Light!
I think it's been a long time since I was surprised that way. Missie reminded me of one, tho. I never liked the MMPB covers of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I finally picked it up and really love those books. :)
Hey! Nice theme! I'm really curious about Ganzfield Series and about Seers o Light (I've been since I read your reviews).:D I'll try to get to them ASAP. I posted my top 5 too. Oh, and about the themes... How about 5 books that made you weep with crocodile tears or something like that?*giggles*
xoxo
*falls over laughing* Larissa, I'm up there on the linky twice because I discovered I posted your link for mine the first time and the second is the correct one.
*chuckles* Sorry 'bout that Larissa! *smoosh hugs*
I am looking forward to read Seers of Light
The cover is intriguing
I have got to read that Redhead series. I see it around all the time. I love your top 5. Always good picks.
