This was my favorite book in this series so far! I’ve been dying for Eric’s story for a while and not only did Jaime deliver it, she also blew me away with the revelations she made in this novel.
Eric has been the bad boy among the heroes of this series since book one. He is always the bloodthirsty one, the one ready to get physical and solve things the most violent way possible or even simply set his enemies on fire, whatever is easier. Not only that, but he has been feeling annoyed by his friends for a while. They are all paring up and falling in love and he feels that they shouldn’t, specially since they are in the middle of a war and there is no worst time for it.
Cut to Fonda who until very recently was working for the Offspring’s enemy, Darkwell and part of a team that was actively hunting them. Who also personally hates Eric for killing her lover and has decided to hunt Eric and kill him herself. Two people couldn’t possibly be on more different sides of a story, but the is that Fonda doesn’t know all the truth behind the Institute and the offspring, and the man she is on the hunt for might be the only one who can help her, if she isn’t careful enough he might even steal her heart.
I LOVED Burning Darkness! Eric and Fonda are an awesome pair and their romance set the pages on fire. But for this pair it was definitely not all about the smex, their connection ran so much deeper that, I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them and their stories. I was glued to the pages of this book from the beginning to the very last word and I can’t wait for more from this series.
Jaime Rush brought out all the guns with Burning Darkness, she answered some huge questions and shocked the hell out me with most of it. I love the world she has built and I soooo want more!
If you enjoy Paranormal Romance with a great deal of action, this is definitely the series for you!

This sounds like something I'd love. I can imagine how he must be to his friends for daring to fall in love! lol
@Melissa
hahahahaha he certainly was annoyed by all the love around LOL
"Fonda Raine" ? Really? paired with a firestarter? heehehehehe.
Sorry, I'm having a little trouble taking that seriously...
@Nicola
ahahhahaha i hadnt even noticed that =P
I've seen this series around but never really picked it up because, to me, the covers weren't that attractive. Maybe I ought to look more into this series :) Thanks for sharing your views!

How have I not heard of this series? I'm off to find out more about the other books!
@Buckeye
LOL hope you like it =D
From Jaime:
Danielle, cool, hope you love the books!
Melissa, oh, yeah, he gets teased! I think he was just a little jealous by all that lovin' going on around him, too.
Nicola, ya know, I never put that together! Initially her name was Fonda Blaine, but that reminded me of David Blaine and I changed it.
Cherry, definitely the adage of don't judge a book by its cover is true. I know, I've seen some horrendous covers. Remember, the author has little to do with that very important aspect of a book.
LOL, Jenny. We authors love Larissa :) Hope you check the Offspring out!
Buckeye girl, kewl, thanks!
Thanks for coming by! I'll be checking back through the day.
