***Disclaimer: I will be hopping by blogs that are new to me and blogs of people that have commented here… I wish i could, but I won’t have time to hop by all the blogs on the hops!
Every week Jen from Crazy-for-Books asks us a question to answer on the Hop, This week’s is:
"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
YES! I actually have OCD about that! I have tried and started series out of order and I find that I can’t read the books previous to the one I have read. It’s really weird!
I think that this would work if it was a Paranormal Romance series, since each books has a different HEA. But I just don’t like it! At All!!!

Hopping back. I wonder how many people normally read books out of order. I can't imagine it's very common. It seems illogical.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your header banner is gorgeous. :]
Also, I'm OCD about reading series in order, too.
Have a great weekend!
Hi, stopping in from the Hop! I am definitely the same way, I always try to read a series in order, even if they don't really have to be read that way! It's just the way I have to do it! Hope you have a great weekend :)
hehe! I love how all the blogs I have visited say they have to read series books in order. I think we are all OCD about that.
Running through to give you TX sized hugs! Happy FF!
Hi I am a new follower. Found your wonderful blog on the hop. I too am very crazy about having to read books in order. Even if they could be stand alones I prefer to read them in order.

Hi! Just hopping by! Thanks for visiting our blog, Brazen Broads Book Bash. We're following now too!
I find a lot of times that the books in a series get better as the series goes on, so beginning out of sequence can be a let down too.
Have a great one!

I'm a series kind of girl - starting from the begining whenever I can ;) My book budget - I don't even want to talk about that lol!
If that's OCD then I say a lot of us readers are OCD! I'm like that too! Practically flipped when I realized a few years back I started with Kim Harrison's 2nd book rather than her first, read nearly 100 pages before I finally got too confused and found out I missed a whole book! Had to rush out to the store and buy book 1!

Happy Friday!
Hi Larissa!
Just hopping by on the friday blog hop, old follower, but still love coming back :-)
I have been known to start with series in the middle, like with Kim Harrison's Hollows series the 4th or 5th one rather than the first ;-) although i did try to read the first before that! lol And with Tom Sniegoski and Remy Chandler; they're not labelled as book 1 on the spine so i just read them out of order, but they make sense on their own.
Have a great weekend!
DarkEva
Hopping back - new follower here as well :-)
Even in pnr series I have to start at the beginning - there's usually a few things that continue from book to book.
Have a great weekend!
Hopping by! I agree....I'm crazy about starting with book one!
Hope you come by and see my answer!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Glad to see we share some similar reading tastes - can't wait to explore your reviews to get more good ideas for what to read.

Hey! I'm an old follower just stopping by on the hop to wish you a great weekend!
Haha, that's funny about your OCD when reading books in a series! I try to read them in order but every now and then I'll mix them up in error and only realize it when I find myself completely lost.

Hey Larissa! Love your name! Thanks so much for the add!
I prefer to read a series in order too. I mean there are certain series out there like the Chronicles of Narnia where the books can be read out of order, but even with those I still read them in order. lol. I guess I'm OCD too.
Anyway, you've got a lovely blog. I'm looking forward to reading your posts!
Hey, thanks so much for stopping by! Yeah, sometimes going out of order can be the worst!
I'm brand spanking new to your blog - glad I found it!
-Linds, bibliophile brouhaha
I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
doesn't run chronologically.
That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.
On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.
Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

Hi, Just hopping by. I am not bothered if the books in the series have their own main characters and plots but if its a single character then I want to read them in order.
Wow you have a huge following! Hope you are having a great friday! I am following now. Thanks for finding my blog!
