Hey Guys! Another Sunday… Time for my Top 5 Sunday List! YAY!
Not a lot of you voted this week, but we do have a clear winner =)
The theme for today is:
Worst Urban Fantasy Book Covers!
I hope you’ll join me this week!
But first, a little bit about this feature and the rules to join in…
Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.
Rules:
1 - Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
2 - Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
3 - Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
4 - After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
5 – If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)
This week’s theme is Worst Urban Fantasy Book Covers! I am not going to be mean or anything, but there are some covers out there that are simply cringe worthy and if I wasn’t already a fan of some of these series, I might have not picked the books up…
Hope you have fun!
5 – Dying Bites by D.D. Barant – The premise of the story really caught my eyes, but the cover doesn’t really do anything for me. It isn’t awful, it’s just bleh… and the angle that the heroine is portrayed in, is not flattering.
4 – Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews – I LOVE this series, but this first cover is just weird in my opinion. I do believe it might turn people off to giving the book a try. I do have to say that the covers of this series have gotten much better with each one =D
3 – The Devil Inside by Jenna Black – Another series I adore, but this cover is just trashy =/
2 – Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison– I don’t even know what to say about this one… it’s just wrong!
1 – Personal Demon by Kelley Armstrong – Another one that has me speechless. If it had been the first in the series, I might never have read it =/
Now I can’t wait to see who is in YOUR Worst Urban Fantasy Book Covers List!
Write you post and leave your link so i can check it out!
Hope you guys have fun with it!

xoxo,
I agree with one and two... although I am a HUGE K.Armstrong's WOTOW series!!
I love the Kate Daniels series but the cover could be better!!=) Kate looks much to computer generated or something off.
I am a HUGE fan too! but that cover is just so weird =/ LOL
"Now I can’t wait to see who is in YOUR Best Disney Movies List!"
LOL the pitfalls of cut and paste eh? :P
From the top of my head I can't think of the worst UF covers but I'm sure I've come across some, The original LK Hamilton Anita Blake covers weren't that great (browsing through my shelves with my eyes here lol) and maybe the Dante Valentine series could have had more style than the red, white and black. I like the new omnibus cover- it's freaking gorgeous!
@Camille
I dont see any mistakes! =P thanks for the heads up LMAO
oooh the Dante Valentine ones... nice pick! I like the new ones too!!!
xoxo
Jocelynn Drakes new covers. If Pray for Dawn and Wait for Dusk were the first in the series, I probably would never given them try and they're fantastic! Um who else... KMM's Darkfever's first cover was just awful, I'm glad I didn't see that one until after! Oh and JF's Eternal Kiss of Darkness didn't translate that well to print. :/
You're lamenting the US cover of Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison? Try the UK cover! It's yellow!! My review is here: http://www.cherrymischievous.com/2010/09/review-dead-witch-walking.html
I was surprised at how hard this one was to do! I had to look at my shelves and see what covers I didn't care for. But I did find 5 that I wasn't a fan of, but still loved the book itself!
