Obsession with the Fever Series!
Categories :
*waves* Hi! I'm Danny and most of you might not know me, but I blog together with 4 of my friends at the Bewitched Bookworms. Oh and just as a sidenote, I'm German and English is not my first language, so be kind if you find any odd english!
I was thrilled when Larissa asked me to guest post at her blog while she spends her time in New York! I love New York btw, I hope she has tons of fun!! She gave us complete freedom about our posts and I was thinking hard about what to write. Finally, I decided to talk about one of my all time favorite series out there!
5th will be released January (which is so awfully far away):
final book of epic proportions!
I recently wrote the longest and craziest review I've ever written about this series, which you can read at my blog if you are interested. So, I don't want to review it here again but rather give you 5 reasons (I believe Larissa like the number 5...) why you should consider reading them (if you haven't read them yet...). Oh and Larissa: I saw you haven't started this series yet? Well, read my post and then you will want to!
1. Jericho Z. Barrons
You have to meet his man, you have to! He is the most mysterious, sensual and dangerous man I have ever met. I can easily say I'm obsessed with him!!! Barrons is a man you meet right in the first book but you have no damn clue who he really is. Good-Bad, Fae-Vampire-Human? You keep guessing and guessing and then you become obsessed with him. He alone is worth reading those books!!! *nods frantically*
2. Dark - Mysterious - Lies and tons of Riddles
This books are built so that layers and layers of plot is revealed slowly and so that you keep guessing and become fascinated with the plot and where it goes and how it could end. KMM built an incredible multilayered plot line that is most fascinating.
3. Character development like wooho!
The Main Character Mac really develops drastically during the 4 books. She starts as an innocent naive Barbie Girl that loves nothing more than nice clothes and matching make up. But the events in the books make her grow up fast. It's incredible to follow her journey and see her grow up and become stronger and more independent. But, it also hurts to see that naive innocent girl become a fighter.... So we start with Mac1.0 and at the end we meet Mac4.0....
Many people who started reading the books complained about Mac in the first book and to those I have to say: Read on... Mac will kick ass!!
4. Intense romantic tension....
Well, we have Mac and then there is Barrons (see above) and this incredible beautiful Seelie Faery Prince V'Lane. But, I think most of us want to see her end up with Barrons...
Seriously while reading the books one after the other you are desperately waiting for them to come together and admit their feelings, to just do something!! It's so frustrating, but in a good way. The tension is intense and it keeps you wanting more and more. I found myself often yelling at them (which is ridiculous since we are talking about a book...) to admit their feelings!!!
just some eye-candy:
Christian McKeltar a character out of the books
(and no, I don't get started talking about KMM Highlander series..*big sigh*)
5. Blood Rush , the official soundtrack
Yep, there is a official soundtrack that accompanies the series! Isn't that awesome!? First, I thought I wouldn't really need this but then (as a big and good fangirl) I bought the CD and I was in love! This is just an incredible awesome addition to the books! Neil captured the emotions in this series perfectly and some of this songs are just heartbreakingly beautiful! If you are an emotional person and love the Fever series you will adore this CD!
Yep, I have to admit I'm obsessed with these books and the characters!
So my questions for you:
Are you fascinated like me, or did you read and didn't like the books?
Do you think Larissa should finally read the Fever series?
And.....
Who the Heck is Barrons?

**As of Today, Feb 24th, This Blog is an Award Free Zone!**
I am sorry! I LOVE the awards you give me and I wish I didn't have to do this, but my blogging schedule in general has not made possible for me to follow the requirements for the awards I receive.
Because of that, I feel that this is for the best.

Danny!
I've created a monster! You've got the fever bad!
Secretly, I'm addicted, too. But all those evil chiffies! Gah!
I think the Beast is Barrons.
This is who I picture him as:

OOo, i love Barrons! *sigh* and the books, of course!
I'm waiting for dreamfever in paperback...-45 days! Lol
@Sabrina: Probably smart to wait until the last comes out, the cliffhanger are cruel! But I love the tension hehe!
@Missie: Sweetie, see what you've done to me? All your fault and you know it !
I agree Barrons is the Beast but not dead!
@Glory: Gosh, Dreamfever was awesome. Well, yes I had to say this since I'm truly obsessed!
I love this series, such a great story and excellent characters. And of course, i love Barrons too.
I have bought all the books out so far... but iM SAVING THEM TO READ CLOSER TO THE RELEASE DATE OF THE LAST ONE... Im trying to run away from cliffhangers LOL
As excited I am for the next book in the series, I feel like the first 3 were just teasing us for the 'end', it was frustrating reading and reading and reading while getting NO ANSWERS to anything! This series doesn't compare to her highlanders in my opinion.
