“Atlanta would be a nice place to live, if it weren’t for the magic. When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it rose.
Kate Daniels works for the Order of the Knights of Merciful Aid, officially as a liaison with the mercenary guild. Unofficially, she cleans up the paranormal problems no one else wants to handle—especially if they involve Atlanta’s shapeshifting community.
When she’s called in to investigate a fight at the Steel Horse, a bar midway between the territories of the shapeshifters and the necromancers, Kate quickly discovers there’s a new player in town. One who’s been around for thousands of years—and rode to war at the side of Kate’s father.
This foe may be too much even for Kate and Curran, the Lord of the Beasts, to handle. Because this time, Kate will be taking on family…”

*This review might contain some spoilers if you haven’t read the first 3 book in the series.
Ever since I read the first three books in the Kate Daniels series, I fell completely in love with Kate and Curran. They are the perfect Heroine and Hero for this world Gordon and Ilona Andrews created.
Kate is flawed, very much so, and that just makes me love her more. She makes mistakes all the time, but she has an amazing heart and even though her training and her former guardian have taught her that having people in her life that she could love, would weaken her, she loves fiercely and is completely loyal to her friends and loved ones.
In Magic Bleeds we get to see Kate getting really disappointed with Curran right off the bat, which got me even shedding some tears in her behalf. In a series of misunderstandings, miscommunications and practical jokes we get to see She and Curran play the mating game and it is definitely tons of fun for us fans that have been waiting for it for such a long time.
In her professional life, Kate is still working in her limbo-like job at the order and is very frustrated with the way her boss and some other order members view the Weres. There is a lot going on in her life and it makes for a great read to see her trying to deal with her job, hauntings from the past, mysteries, Were politics and Curran.
I had a LOT of expectations regarding Magic Bleeds and to be quite honest, ALL of them and even more were met. I laughed, cried and rooted for Kate in this book and I am extremely happy about how it all came out.
After this amazing new installment in this great series, I have to say that I am simply dying to get my hands on the next book. If you are an Urban Fantasy fan you have to read this series!
