Hey everyone =)
How you all doing today? well, I went to see Date Night last with my dad and decided to share my thoughts on it with you guys today =)
I’ll be posting the winners of my last 3 giveaways later today… I haven’t forgotten =)
“This action comedy tells the tale of mild-mannered married couple Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey) who fear their relationship may be falling into a stale rut. During their weekly date night, they impetuously steal a dinner reservation, which leads to a case of mistaken identity. Turns out the reservation was for a pair of thieves, and now a number of unsavory characters want Phil and Claire killed. If they can survive a wacky life-threatening night, they may just rediscover the passion missing from their marriage.”
From Fandango.
When I saw that this movie has premiered this Friday, I just has to go and watch it on my first opportunity. I love Tina Fey and Steve Carell, they are absolutely two of my favorite comedians nowadays.
They do not disappoint in this Romantic-Comedic Adventure. Fey and Carell’s chemistry is undeniable even when they play a boring suburban couple that are lost in rut. When they find out one of their married couple friends is separating, they decide to start-up their own marriage.
It was only going to be a night out and dinner in NYC, they are late, are not able to get a table and get stuck at the restaurant’s bar. Phil (Carell), takes matters into his own hands, hearing a waitress calling out a party of two that doesn’t seem to be around he raises his hand and claims to be the Triplehorns.
That’s when it all goes down hill. Two thugs show up asking for the Triplehorns and demanding that they return a flash drive that they have apparently stole. From then on in one crazy situation after the other the boring suburban couple get on an insane pursuit all over NYC trying to stay ahead of the people trying to kill them and trying to find a way to get back to their boring lives.
With hilarious scenes and a great cast including a shirtless Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Kristen Wig and so many more, it was easy to get lost in laughter and fun with the Foster couple.
Date Night is predicable, but what it is the rare movie that isn’t nowadays. The underlining tender moments and heart of this movie it’s what sets it apart from the rest. It’s a great Date Movie and I absolutely recommend it.
