"When Evangeline Stone wakes up naked and bruised on a cold slab at the morgue—in a stranger’s body, with no memory of who she is and how she got there—her troubles are only just beginning. Before that night she and the two other members of her Triad were the city’s star bounty hunters, mercilessly cleansing the city of the murderous creatures living in the shadows, from vampires to shape-shifters to trolls. Then something terrible happened that not only cost all three of them their lives but also convinced the city’s other Hunters that Evy was a traitor—and she can’t even remember what it was.
Now she’s a fugitive, piecing together her memory, trying to deal some serious justice—and discovering that she has only three days to solve her own murder before the reincarnation spell wears off. Because in three days Evy will die again—but this time there’s no second chance. . . "

I had heard so much about this book that I just had to get it. I actually finished it at the end of December, but it has taken me a while to sit down and actually write down a review. I kept asking myself why, since I actually really enjoyed this book, and the only answer I came up with is that I don't think I have much to say about it.
"Three days of dead" is a great addition to the Urban Fantasy genre. It's smart, fun, full of action and quite touching at times. It doesn't reinvent the genre, but it does put a new spin on an old tale.
Evangeline is an awesome heroine and plenty lovable. Her plea definitely strummed my heart strings . She finds herself in an awful situation and it just gets worse. How would you deal in knowing that the people you thought you could trust have betrayed you and not only that, that the ones who haven't betrayed you, believe you are the back stabber?
There is no easy way to deal and Evy doesn't have much time to get things right. She dies, was brought back and has no idea why. Wyatt, her ex-boss, is the only person she can trust and there is something about him that she is quite sure she should remember.
I loved Evy and Wyatt together. Wyatt is a great character, strong and loyal. Their relationship is something I loved to see the development. It was not easy, but in my opinion they work so well together that I just couldn't wait to see if something would actually happen between them.
All in all, Three Days to Dead is a great book and I thoroughly recommend it to any UF fan out there. I have already pre-ordered my copy of book two and I just can't wait for it =)
Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon!

**As of Today, Feb 24th, This Blog is an Award Free Zone!**
I am sorry! I LOVE the awards you give me and I wish I didn't have to do this, but my blogging schedule in general has not made possible for me to follow the requirements for the awards I receive.
Because of that, I feel that this is for the best.
I liked this one. It wasn't my fave, but it was good. Wyatt sure was yummy ;)
hehe He sure was =)))
*so* glad you liked this one! I bought it a couple of weeks ago, and it's calling to me from my TBR pile but I haven't felt in the right mood.
Glad to know when I do get around to reading it, I'll most likely love it.
Great review!
P.S. - I see you're now reading the Sookie short stories - a little desperate for every little bit of Sookie you can find? lol - and now you're just like the rest of us Sookieholics, counting down the days until May 4 and 'Dead in the Family'. Have you read the first chapter that's up on Charlaine's website yet?
@Danielle
Thanks!
I cant wait to read your opinion on this one =)))
Im just in LOVE with the Sookie world LOL I blame you and a buch of other book bloggers hahahahah
Ha ha ha! I totally picked it!
My favorite short story is 'Dracula Night'. I'm really looking forward to your review of the whole series. And now you have to try Charlaine Harris's other books!
Welcome to the Sookie band wagon! I bet you can't wait for season 3 of 'True Blood' to air so you can get a peek at Alcide (who started out really nice, but turned into a jerk, IMO). How physically perfect is Joe Manganiello to play Alcide? Seriously. He is *exactly* who I picture!
Loved this book..looking forward to the next!
You had plenty to say on the book, you just needed to get started. ;) I find that at times I don't know what to say on a book but when I start trying to type up a review it all starts to come out. I am glad you enjoyed the book. I think book 2 is going to give us more details on the handlers. I am not sure if it is going to be on specific ones (Wyatts motives) and in general as to their history and requirements. I have been a little on the suspicious side with Wyatt. There is just something a little off there.
Great review of the book.
@Danielle
Dracula Night was awesome hehe
@Mandi
Me too! =)))
@Melissa
Thats so true!
Im wondering what you mean about Wyatt!
hehe
There are a few of us discussing this book as one of the featured books for January at Barnes and Nobles forums. Wyatt seems a little suspicious to us. There seems to be things missing with hime and what he knows and doesn't share completely. We are not saying Wyatt is a bad person, just curious of him. Some thing just feels... off (?) with him. But I think we will get more insight on his motives in book two. (From what Kelly mentioned there on the thread.) I have a lot of questions on the handlers themselfs along with Wyatt personally. I am looking forward to getting more info.
@Melissa
ooooh ok! I guess I didnt pick that up. I mean, I noticed he has a some secrets and that we hadnt seen all there is to him. But I figured we'd get more of him in book 2!
Im so looking forward to it =)
