"In the epic action adventure fantasy "Avatar", James Cameron, the director of "Titanic", takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination. On the distant moon Pandora, a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption, discovery and unexpected love - as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization.
The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully, is an ex-Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. In order to participate in the Avatar program, which will give him a healthy body, Jake agrees to travel to Pandora, a lush rainforest environment filled with incredible life forms – some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also the home to the Na’vi, a humanoid race that lives at what we consider to be a primate level, but they are actually much more evolved than humans. Ten feet tall and blue skinned, the Na’vi live harmoniously within their unspoiled world. But as humans encroach on Pandora in search of valuable minerals, the Na’vi’s very existence is threatened – and their warrior abilities unleashed.
Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this encroachment. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. The Avatars are living, breathing bodies in the real world, controlled by a human driver through a technology that links the driver’s mind to the Avatar body. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake can be whole once again. Moreover, he falls in love with a young Na’vi woman, Neytiri, whose beauty is matched by her ferocity in battle.
As Jake slides deeper into becoming one of her clan, he finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth, and the Na’vi – forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world."
There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this movie is! The visuals, the camera work, the effects, the acting, the action... Perfection. I actually believe this might be The Best Movie Ever in my humble opinion.
I wasn't really sold on the Avatar craze that had people scratching themselves to see this movie premiere, my going to watch it tonight, was a fluke. A fluke that just changed how I will ever look at movies again.
Me and Sagi watched the 3D version and it just made perfection seem REAL. I hate when 3D is overdone and that can happen... Like with Final Destination. In this case, it was used wisely and stunningly.
Everyone does an amazing acting job in this movie, they bring these amazing characters to life with such depth and beauty. I cried, I laughed, I cringed during the action, me and Sagi clung to each other like crazy. It was such a wild ride, maybe the best of my life. And no, I'm not exaggerating.
Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon!
xoxo

Wow! Well, I've been wondering about this movie, and I guess I have my answer! Sounds fabulous. Tho, usually everything Cameron does is great. Can't wait!!
I've heard about this movie for quite a while now since brother is movie junkie but it wasn't until I saw the first trailers that i started digging in to the synopsis and stuff. Now I'm as excited as many and reading your vlog only gets me more in the mood for this movie. As I've said, hubby and I have a date in January so I'm really leaning towards AVATAR...2012 is an option to but I'll just have to work my batting eye lashes and stuff to convince hubby it really needs to be AVATAR LOL
Just watching how excited you and Sagi are in the vlog gets me even more riled up to watch Avatar. It's killing me to wait until tomorrow to watch Avatar. One more day...
And WOW! I wish I could see it in 3-D too! I'll have to settle for surround sound in the theaters -- just glad I'm going to see it.
Thank you for the review!!! Wonderful review. :)
Thats it! I'm seeing this movie tonight I don't care what excuse my husband gives me!
