"Owen Rhys, a sin eater in Wales, has been shunned by the local villagers his entire life--except for Andras Maddock, the local physician. In love with the one man he thinks will never return that love, Owen is shocked when Andras saves him from death at the hands of a vampire and admits he cares deeply for him.
Dagan, son of Traherne, the vampire Andras killed to save Owen, will stop at nothing to avenge his father’s death and obtain the Prince of Wales’s mystic sword. The divine claymore holds the power to grant immunity from the sun’s harsh rays—the one exemption the dark Lords of the Underworld has sought for centuries.
Star-crossed love, sorcery, and bloodlust collide on a vengeful path where only one side can remain victorious."

**Book given to me for review, but the thoughts are all my own.
First and foremost i have to say this was my first M/M romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been planning to delve in this genre for a while and having the chance to start with one that has the paranormal involved as well, was just perfect.
Owen is a simple man, ostracized by society's utter ignorance and prejudice and tormented by his gift. He is a soul eater. He has the ability to sense that death is near and to "eat" the dying person's sins in order for their spirit to rise unencumbered. His biggest secret is his affections for the village's doctor, Andreas.
Besides being a physician, Andreas is a vampire and one with a long and sad history. He feels he has a duty towards Owen's father and plans to keep it. Andreas has feelings for Owen as well, but fears for him, because an older and very powerful vampire is hunting for a relic he possesses.
I really liked Owen and Andreas's tale. It was full of adventure and their romance was sizzling hot. Andreas is a very strong character, stubborn at times, but definitely an Alpha male that likes to take charge.
Owen is seemingly more submissive, but I enjoyed seeing him grow throughout the novel and really like the more assertive man he became.
All in all, The Sin Eater's Prince was a fun read and a great romance. Definitely a great way to get me started on this genre.
Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon!
