There’s always one more grave to dig.
Lately, life has been unnaturally calm for vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband Bones. They should have known better than to relax their guard, because a shocking revelation sends them back into action to stop an all-out war…
A rogue CIA agent is involved in horrifying secret activities that threaten to raise tensions between humans and the undead to dangerous heights. Now Cat and Bones are in a race against time to save their friends from a fate worse than death…because the more secrets they unravel, the deadlier the consequences. And if they fail, their lives—and those of everyone they hold dear— will be hovering on the edge of the grave.

The Night Huntress series is not only one of the first Urban Fantasy series I read, but also one of my all time favorites. I was a bit underwhelmed by One Grave at a Time, so when Jeaniene Frost announced she was ending the series a book early I was actually relieved.
Don't get me wrong! I am saddened that this beloved series has come to an end, especially after the awesomeness that was Up From the Grave, but I am extremely happy that the series ended on such a high note. Besides, with a third Vlad book still to come, we know that this is not the last time we've seen Cat and Bones. Not to mention that I am still hopeful for an Ian series some time in the future =)
Now back to the amazing last book in the series. Up From the Grave is everything that I was hoping for and so much more. Jeaniene finally found the balance between portraying Cat and Bones as the happy couple they are and having them go through great adventures that don't necessarily mean that their relationship is in danger.
We get so many loose ends tighten and we also get to spend time with so many other beloved characters. I am utterly realized with Up From the Grave! Thanks Jeaniene Frost for such an incredible series and for giving the send off Cat and Bones more than deserve.
I will miss them all so much!
If you are an avid UF fan and reader, the Night Huntress is not only a must read but also in valuable in any UF library out there!
