YES! This what I’ve been hoping for this series and Jennifer has delivered it in spades!

I was worried where this series was going after such a huge arch had been finished and I am psyched about what Jennifer Estep has done in By a Thread.

The big bad of the last books is dead, so now what? Well, Gin’s life is far from being peaceful, since all the wannabe big bads have decided she needs to go and all that is taking its toll on our dear Assassin.

Gin goes on vacation, but instead of finding some peace and quiet, she not only finds more trouble than ever before, but also a blast from the past that could have stayed buried.

I loved this book! I believe this is my favorite in the series so far. My only grip with the series has been that it was feeling a bit repetitive, but Jennifer has come through with By a Thread and delivered a fantastic piece of Urban Fantasy.

Action-packed and full of heart is the best way for me to describe By a Thread and after this fantastic installment, I can’t help but have high hopes for the next novels to come.

If you have yet to read this series, I utterly recommend it and if you are already a fan, you won’t want to miss By a Thread for anything!

Thread of Death {Elemental Assassin #5.5} by Jennifer Estep

  

GGin Blanco, aka the assassin the Spider, might have finally killed her nemesis, Mab Monroe, but that doesn't mean that it's smooth sailing. Gin goes to Mab's funeral to say her goodbyes and runs into some of Ashland's most notorious underworld power players, including Jonah McAllister and Phillip Kincaid. McAllister wants her dead, and Kincaid has his own murky motives when it comes to the Spider, and Gin once again finds herself fighting for her life. Only this time, she might wind up in the cemetery right next to Mab.

The Bad: The only bad thing for me it is that it's too short.

The Action & Heart: As much action and swoon as you can have in such short installment.

YES! Gini does it again!

I have been such an avid fan of the Katherine “Kitty” Katt series from the get-go. Hilariously sweet, kick-ass, problem prone and sarcastic leading lady Kitty had me from her first right on the money comment and it has been a love affair ever since.

Of course, all the outrageously gorgeous Armani or non-Armani clad men in the series help a great deal, but it is definitely the combination an incredibly fast-paced storyline, interestingly appealing characters and Kick-ass action from different worlds that make this a must-read series.

Alien Diplomacy is the 5th installment in the series and I have to give cuddos to Gini Koch for not dropping the ball once in the series so far. I might get a bit lost sometimes with the addition of more and more characters with each and every single book, but Gini does a suberb job in helping me keep it all up.

In Alien Diplomacy, Kitty is back and even thought she is now married with a baby to take of and has just changed careers, she is far from getting complacent and forgoing all the action, or should I say that the action is not forgoing her? Hard to keep track, though Kitty is definitely a problem magnet to the n-th degree and being a Diplomat in DC will not change any of that one iota.

Alien Diplomacy gives us all of old and beloved characters like Christopher, who is now just as smitten as Martini once was, Amy, Reader, Gower, Ace, Richard (who has fallen into his new job quite awesomely) and so many more. We also get introduced to a host of new characters that will make all the Washington intrigue all that more, well... intriguing  hehe.

If you are a fan of this amazing series, Alien Diplomacy is not only a must but essential to your reading health. However, if you have not read the series yet, that is just simply dangerous to your health in general, because I will kick your ass!

Finally! Sterling Chase finally gets his story told! Chase a.k.a. Harvard was one of the late additions to the Order, but quickly captured the harts of the Midnight Breed fans all over, all of whom have been hoping for his HEA with our hearts in our hands, hoping for the best.

Of the current members of the Order, Chase is the last one to get his HEA and after his specially featured role in Hunter's book, Deeper Than Midnight, the expectation for his story just got that much higher and I am so happy to say that Lara Adrian delivered it in spades!

We met Chase's HEA in Deeper Than Midnight and Tavia proves to be such an awesome mate to our dear Harvard and Lara has an incredible twist where she is concerned that I thought was a great addition to the series.

Now when it comes to Chase, I have to say that the poor guy basically goes from Hell to an even hotter Hell throughout the novel and his path back to a Haven he has always been reticent to wish for is far from easy.

I LOVED Darker After Midnight! It is such a fantastic novel and the perfect ending to the current arch of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns Lara threw at me and I think the ending had the the perfect tone.

After all this time and adventures, I cannot wait to read about the next generation of the Breed, which is what i believe we are getting for the next arch of this incredible series.

If you are a Midnight Breed series fan, this is an absolute MUST read! You will NOT be disappointed!
