We have all read many a vampire book over the years, most of them sadly have been written mainly after the hype of those popular famous books. You know the ones ;-)
This series is not like that. The first book starts off with a good storyline, it does need to not lose its focus though - it did keep going off on tangents and could have been shorter... but this story had a real fear factor with it. Sure there is the romance angle but let's not forget that we should all be wary and afraid of vampires. There are parts of the book which will make you jump and just when you think you know what's going on... BAMM, you're wrong!
This is for you if you want a new twist on a vampire story that will leave you guessing until the end.
Absolutely loved this book (little tangents aside) and I went straight into reading Blackthorn #2!
Love the Blackthorn Series for the same reasons--new, real, no kid gloves. Plus--awesome dark community brilliantly created by an author with one amazing voice--Lindsay Pryor.
