There will be blood.
She may resist his bite, but she can't resist his charms...
Werewolf princess Blu Masterson won't allow her seductive vampire husband to consummate their marriage with his bite, marking her forever. I heard about this book a while ago, maybe a few months and I was immediately intrigued by it. I went as far as scrounging all eBookstores and regular online bookstores to find it and when I finally realized that it had not yet been released I gave up for the moment.
About a week ago I found about Netgalley, where you can sign up and get Book galleys/ARCs electronically, so i got into it and at last was able to read it. I am absolutely glad I did.
Her vampire husband is first and foremost a romance and a great one at that. It starts with what it is usually the end of one and that is the great charm about it.
Blu is a werewolf princess, daughter of the pack’s Alpha and Creed is a vampire lord and head of his tribe. The hatred between vampires and werewolves has seen too many centuries and as a way to start the journey towards peace, the preternatural council joins these two in matrimony.
Neither is happy and both are aware that peace will not be reached that easily. However, throughout the novel they start seeing each other beyond the prejudices of their races and discover happiness together.
Blu is a great character and I was quite horrified by the way she was treated by the pack and her own father. Seeing her grow and find self respect was great. Creed aristocratic ways were hugely disturbed by Blu’s joy and liveliness. A definitely opposites attract situation that felt more like they needed each other and completed each other.
They were so hot together, seriously, their romance and smexing were definitely the highlights of this book and it was great to read through it. The plot wasn’t bad at all and I could not put this book down, because I really wanted to find out what was going to happen.
Her vampire husband is not reinventing the wheel when it comes to Paranormal Romance, but its a fun, exciting read and a unconventional love story. I recommend this book to any PNR fan out there. You won’t regret it!
